Live Readiness Command Center
A fictional live-production dashboard showing how I approach release health, player-impact triage, cross-functional communication, and operational clarity.
Fictional data. Created as a portfolio work sample to demonstrate production thinking.
This mock dashboard demonstrates how I think about live production: turning ambiguous risks, player-impact signals, release dependencies, and stakeholder input into clear owners, next steps, escalation paths, and decision-ready summaries.
Executive Summary
A one-glance readout of where the current release stands and what needs a decision.
Targeting next scheduled deployment window.
Primary blockers are QA verification and platform-specific validation.
Console-specific crash spike requires owner confirmation before signoff.
Decision needed after QA verifies crash reproduction rate.
Clear owners assigned; escalation path active.
Release Readiness Snapshot
A producer-facing view of key release gates, ownership, risk, and next actions.
Build Stability
At RiskCrash spike observed on one platform after latest candidate build.
NextConfirm repro rate and evaluate hotfix risk.
QA Readiness
In ProgressRegression pass is 74% complete with two critical issues under review.
NextPrioritize verification on platform-specific blockers.
Platform / 1P
On TrackSubmission checklist drafted; final package pending build confidence.
NextHold submit until critical verification is complete.
Live Ops Schedule
On TrackDeployment window and internal comms are aligned.
NextConfirm go/no-go meeting time.
Community / CS Readiness
At RiskPlayer-facing messaging needs final issue language and workaround notes.
NextDraft support macro and release-note fallback copy.
Localization
On TrackFinal strings are locked except one known UI adjustment.
NextValidate final localized strings in candidate build.
Release Notes
In ProgressNotes are drafted, pending final fix list and known-issue language.
NextUpdate once hotfix decision is made.
Rollback Plan
Needs ReviewRollback path exists but requires final owner confirmation.
NextConfirm rollback owner and comms chain before go/no-go.

Hotfix Decision Matrix
A lightweight framework for deciding whether to hotfix now, hold for the next patch, monitor, or escalate.
| Issue | Player Impact | Frequency | Fix Risk | Urgency | Confidence | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crash spike after candidate build | High | Medium | Medium | High | Medium | Escalate for hotfix review after QA confirms repro rate. |
| Reward progression delay | High | Low–Medium | Low | Medium | Medium | Monitor logs, prepare CS messaging, include fix in next safe release window. |
| Missing localized strings | Low | Medium | Low | Low | High | Bundle with next patch unless already included in candidate build. |
| Store entitlement inconsistency | High | Low | Medium | Medium | Low | Investigate further before hotfix; prepare workaround communication. |
| Social feature intermittency | Medium | Medium | Unknown | Medium | Low | Continue monitoring and escalate if peak-hour failure rate increases. |
Recommendation is based on player impact, frequency, fix risk, deployment complexity, and confidence level.
Product Health Snapshot
A simplified fictional health readout combining stability, support volume, sentiment, and platform-specific watchouts.
Increase appears platform-specific and requires regression confirmation.
No widespread service outage detected.
CS volume is manageable but sentiment risk may grow if unresolved.
Mostly tied to rewards and store entitlement confusion.
Messaging clarity matters more than speed alone.
Reward delay may reduce confidence in limited-time event participation.
Primary release-readiness blocker.
Cross-Functional Alignment
A stakeholder-focused view of who needs what, what is blocked, and how communication stays predictable.

The goal is not simply to ship fast — it is to ship with clear risk ownership, player-impact awareness, and a shared decision record.
Retro & Process Improvement
What Happened
Candidate build surfaced a platform-specific crash regression late in the readiness window while parallel player-facing issues were still being monitored.
What Went Well
Owners were identified quickly, CS/Community were looped in early, and the go/no-go path was made visible before final submission pressure.
What Needs Improvement
Earlier platform-specific smoke testing and clearer escalation thresholds would reduce late-stage ambiguity.
Next Process Change
Add a pre-go/no-go risk review 24 hours earlier, with severity thresholds, rollback owner confirmation, and approved known-issue language drafted in advance.
